Hocking Hills. Haunted? Beautiful.
Taken inside the Old Man's Cave. This cave was home to a hermit named Richard Roe in the early 1800's, and may still house the spirits of his hunting dogs as they are occasionally heard calling out for his return.
Leaving the Old Man's Cave area.
Approaching the Lower Falls area, OMC path.
Lower Falls and its stunning reflection in the clear water.
Looking down from the bridge on top of Upper Falls. A unique, vertigo-inducing angle on a natural treasure.
Gorgeous, even in Earth tones.
A most peaceful landscape.
Peeking out from OMC, a refreshing view.
Under the waterfall, toes in the sand.
A wide-angle shot showcasing the 700 foot long recess cave expanse.
I am told this cave and it's waterfall are all the more stunning in the winter. The waterfall is renown for freezing top and bottom. I won't be wishing for more cold weather, but I will definitely explore that claim when it comes back around.
High detail on the cave walls. Ash Cave is said to be frequented by a playfully bashful female apparition, and dancing lights have been witnessed at night through the trees.
