The Cascades of the Glen Helen

History:  The Shawnee revered the Cascades and maintained it as a popular meeting place. The Cascades were also a favorite trysting place of Shawnee lovers, a practice likely older than their occupation of the land. The "Lover's Trail" is the general name we use referring to the trail following either side of the Birch Creek because of this history.

Claims:  Native American apparitions, mist structures/formations, and strange noises have been reported.  A man reported seeing a small girl alone and skipping stones by the lower falls area.  Noticing she was by herself, he reportedly yelled out to her offering assistance if she was lost.  The girl did not respond when called... instead she stepped to the edge of the lower falls, and slowly fell backwards into the water below.  The man rushed to aid her, but when he made it down to help there was no one there, only a sapphire ring waiting for him where she fell.

TCP Experience:  We have heard loud rhythmic drumming on multiple occasions, primarily inside the recess cave formation.  Mist anomalies have also been witnessed, curiously rising and falling corresponding with the audible drumming.  This is another place we have seen visible colored lights, white and blue, they like to dance just above the water.  This is also a fantastic place to hear "The Woman in the Woods" as we have multiple times now. Dare I throw this out there... we believe there may very well be Woodland Fae, or Sprites in the area as well, based on some hard-light anomalies we flat out cannot explain any other way.

Up Close and Personal. The Cascades, in the Dark

Things that go Boom, Boom, Thud in the Night.

Audio in the Glen Helen is particularly difficult to get, as you are surrounded by the sounds of nature at every turn.  It is difficult to hear, but there is a low, rhythmic drumming in this clip.
