The Yellow Spring

...And the "Bullskin Trace" Trail

History:  The Shawnee believed that the Spring possessed healing power.  The village of Yellow Springs is named for this natural treasure. The north to south path adjacent to the Yellow Spring, following along the Yellow Spring Creek was once known to the Shawnee as "Bullskin Trace".  This was a heavily traversed path stretching from Lake Erie to the Ohio River.  The path was not only instrumental in moving goods and troops, but was also used strategically as part of The Underground Railroad.

Claims:  Indian apparitions, mist formations and anomalies are reported at the Spring.  Residual hauntings of spectral Native apparitions are seen on the Bullskin Trace path.

TCP Experience:  The Spring seems to be an electronics graveyard and resurrection site.  On three seperate investigations here, we have had batteries on our video recorders die suddenly upon arrival.  On one occasion, a video recorder wouldn't turn on despite multiple attempts on the hike, only to have it "spring" back to life while sitting atop the Spring.  Shadow figures have been seen in the landing area of the Spring.  We haven't seen any apparitions in these areas to date.

The Lithium-Ion Angel of Death

If you are viewing this photo (below) from a mobile device, you likely cannot see much more than a black box.  When viewed on an HD screen, you should be able to make out a streaking red-dot. This photo was never actually taken by the investigator who captured it... as a matter of fact, this image was captured by a GoPro Hero 3+ black in 1080 resolution while it was recording VIDEO.  This camera can give still shots while recording video in 4k resolution, but we don't use that mode because of editing restrictions and general blurriness on replay.  Still shots taken by this camera give a 3000x4000 aspect ratio... this photo is 720x540... and was taken while on our investigators head, automatically, as a battery at 70% was instantly drained.
